Meet One of your Stroke Navigators

Taylor Devlin is the Stroke Navigator covering in-person visits in the Greater Saint John region. She will be offering services in other areas of the province virtually or by phone. Here is a little more information about her!



Background and Certifications:


I am skilled in community development and partnering with community organizations to create accessible services and programs in the community. She has experience working with older adults individually and in groups for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and general wellness in clinical, long-term care, public fitness facility and community workshop settings. She enjoys offering community wellness programming and educational presentations for all ages.


· Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology; certified personal trainer through CSEP-CEPS


Why are you excited about the Stroke Navigation Program with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick?


I want to contribute towards communities where individuals are able and enthusiastic to take part in their own health and wellness, and have the quality of lives to allow them to thrive. I have an ongoing passion to provide accessible coordination, education, programs and services to make the healthy choice, the easy choice, no matter your circumstance. I believe taking on the role of Stroke Navigator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick will allow me to help individuals who have experienced stroke, and their caregivers to break down some of their current barriers to increasing their quality of life post-stroke. I want to be able to assist set them in action planning for health management, community reintegration and create opportunitity for continued enjoyment in their lives.

What are your hobbies?


I am involved in various recreational sports/outdoor activities. 2020 has included league curling and slow-pitch, in addition to tennis and mini-hikes with friends, in addition to recently reengaging in yoga. I love to cook and watch cooking/baking shows, play board games and read. My husband and I also recently decided to try and teach ourselves how to play guitar.


What is your favourite holiday?


Christmas! I enjoy spending time with family, cooking and sitting in my PJs while I watch others open gifts.
